Our students have successfully traversed the difficult path to clinical education, developing a solid understanding of foundational biomedical sciences that is critical to success in their career. Mastering the skills of patient care, empathy, and professionalism has taken on new importance in today's professional development toward becoming a competent physician.
KansasCOM and the clinical education team have developed a portfolio of rotations to give you the tools necessary to achieve a quality residency training program. The third year of medical education consists of nine core clerkships through our affiliated clinical sites throughout Kansas and beyond. The fourth year provides an opportunity for elective and sub-internships, allowing you to determine your field of passion and audition for residency positions.
