  • Office on Violence Against Women: Established by the Violence Against Women Act, the Office on Violence Against Women is designed to reduce violence against women and strengthen resources for all survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking.
  • National Domestic Violence Hotline: Established by the Violence Against Women Act, the National Domestic Violence Hotline provides twenty-four-hour support for people facing domestic violence.
  • Stalking Resource Center: Part of the National Center for Victims of Crime, the Stalking Resource Center provides assistance and guidance for those impacted by stalking.
  • NotAlone.gov: This government-sponsored Website contains resources on responding to and preventing sexual assault in schools.
  • Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network (RAINN): This nonprofit organization has a twenty-four-hour hotline for anonymous support for people dealing with sexual assault and their friends and families.
  • The National Suicide Prevention Hotline: This nonprofit organization has a twenty-four-hour, toll-free confidential suicide prevention hotline.
  • Love Is Respect: The Love Is Respect website offers information on how to recognize dating violence and seek help.
  • Pandora's Project: Information about working with LGBTQIA and gender-nonconforming students and same-sex sexual violence.
  • Child Welfare Information Gateway: For information on local state laws regarding mandatory reporting and confidentiality.

United Way fights for the health, education, financial stability and basic needs of every person in south central Kansas. We bring together partners from multiple sectors, such as businesses, nonprofits, government organizations, community leaders and more. United Way serves as the backbone organization to support the work of the partnership by coordinating a shared measurement system, mutually reinforcing activities and ongoing communication.

The Community Crisis Center is your 24-hour resource for mental health assistance and suicide prevention. In addition to telephone intervention, the Community Crisis Center provides face-to-face intervention services, including a mobile crisis unit. When a client comes to the Community Crisis Center facility, clinical staff are available for intervention, crisis treatment planning and to provide referrals to other community resources. When appropriate, the client will see a medical provider to assess the need for medication

Wichita Area Sexual Assault Center works with individuals and communities through comprehensive services and education to create a culture of intolerance for sexual violence and an atmosphere of healing for those impacted by it.

Harbor House at Catholic Charities is more than a safe shelter for survivors of severe violence. Harbor House uses outreach advocacy services to guide survivors of abuse through the judicial, medical and DCF systems.

The Wichita Family Crisis Center provides comprehensive services for victims of sexual and domestic violence and sexual exploitation with the intent of increasing safety for victims, increasing accountability for perpetrators, and creating a community environment that recognizes these issues and works to prevent future occurrences.

 

The mission of the KANSASCOM Academic Mentoring Program is to promote student success by empowering students to take responsibility for achieving their academic goals. Academic Mentoring is a shared responsibility among the student, Mentor and college community. Academic Mentoring promotes individual growth consistent with the students' academic, personal, and professional goals through direct service to the student and collaboration with faculty and other campus resources.​​

Counselors who provide services to KansasCOM Student Community Members through EAP programs are not required to disclose reports of sexual misconduct to the University's Title IX Coordinator. While professional and non-professional counselors and advocates may maintain a victim's confidentiality vis-à-vis the University, they may have reporting or other obligations under state law.
