It is a policy of KHSU-KansasCOM to comply with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, otherwise known as FERPA. FERPA is a federal law that limits the amount of information that can be released about students without their specific written permission.
It is the responsibility of KHSU-KansasCOM to protect student records. If you have a concern about the application of FERPA in a personal interaction, classroom or office environment or KHSU-KansasCOM activity/event, you have the right to file a concern. Please use the Guardian form: Report a FERPA Concern
- Report a FERPA concern must be completed no later than 180 days from the date the incident occurred; however, exceptions to this requirement will be considered on a case-by-base basis when the complaining party can show cause for the delay in reporting.
- Please note that availability and completion of the form in no way implied that the reported incident violates FERPA. It is simply a means for an individual to report FERPA concerns for investigation. All reports are investigated and reviewed.
If you would like to Report a FERPA Concern anonymously, please use the
Open Door Submission form to submit the information.
Another avenue to discuss potential FERPA concerns would be email the Registrar at
